What You'll Do

1Analyze existing SAS datasets, ETL jobs, PROC SQL code, and SAS macros

2Convert SAS transformation logic into DBT models and cloud-native data pipelines

3Support migration of historical and incremental data from SAS platforms to GCP

4Participate in migration assessments, code conversion, and reconciliation activities

5Design and develop scalable ELT pipelines using DBT and BigQuery

6Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and aggregation processes

7Develop reusable and modular DBT models following best practices

8Implement performance tuning for SQL and BigQuery workloads

9Create and maintain data lineage and metadata documentation

10Design and implement data quality validation frameworks

11Perform source-to-target reconciliation between SAS and GCP platforms

12Investigate and resolve data inconsistencies and migration issues

13Support automated testing and monitoring of data pipelines

14Support data security, access controls, and governance requirements

15Work closely with Data Architects, Business Analysts, Data Modelers, and QA teams

16Participate in design reviews and sprint planning sessions

17Estimate effort and provide technical input during project planning

18Mentor junior engineers and enforce engineering best practices
