Screen Resumes Against Your JD in Seconds
Paste a job description and up to 5 resumes. See them ranked by skill match, with every missing skill flagged. No signup, nothing uploaded.

Reading resumes in the order they arrive is the slowest way to find the right person. A first pass on skills tells you in seconds who covers what your JD actually asks for. This free tool does that pass on a handful of resumes. Switchly does it, with a full AI fit score and the reasoning behind it, on every applicant to every job you post.

“We closed a Senior Backend Engineer role in 4 days. Normally that takes 6 weeks. The AI ranking surfaced exactly what I asked for — right experience, right stack, right seniority level. No recruiter middleman, no noise.”

“As an EM at a Series B, I don't have time for 300-resume batches. Switchly gave me 8 qualified candidates on day one. Three of them were stronger than anyone a recruiter ever sent me — at zero cost.”

Post Your First Job FreeFrequently asked questions
How does this free resume screening tool work?
It reads the tech skills in your job description, splits them into likely-required and nice-to-have (anything after a "nice to have", "bonus" or "preferred" heading), then checks which of those skills each resume mentions. Resumes are ranked by the share of required skills they cover, with nice-to-haves counting for 20%. Everything runs in your browser.
Is this the same as Switchly's AI candidate scoring?
No, and it doesn't pretend to be. This page is a keyword match: fast and useful for a first pass, but it can't tell a senior engineer from someone who listed a skill once. When candidates apply to a job you post on Switchly, an AI model scores each one 0–100 against your JD across skills, stack, seniority and work preference, and shows strengths, concerns and missing skills for every applicant.
Are the resumes I paste stored or uploaded anywhere?
No. The comparison runs entirely in your browser tab. Nothing you paste is sent to Switchly's servers, saved or used for training. Close the tab and it's gone.
Can I screen resumes in PDF format?
This free tool takes plain text, so copy the text out of the PDF first. On Switchly itself you don't need to: candidates apply with a profile parsed from their resume, and every applicant is scored automatically.
What does it cost to use AI resume screening on Switchly?
Nothing. Switchly is free for hirers: posting a job is free, there's no placement fee, and applicants are scored and ranked automatically on every job you post.
Is automated resume screening fair to candidates?
Use it to sort, not to reject. Keyword matching in particular misses people who describe the same skill differently, or who are switching domains with transferable experience. Switchly shows the reasoning behind every AI score and never hides low-scoring applicants from view, so the final call stays with you.
